Hi! I’m Caitlin Anderson-Olanrewaju.
I'm a scientist by training but a photographer at heart. I spend a lot of time focused on the small details, the subtle patterns, the moments that happen in the background. Photography is where that part of me found its best use.
What I love about every session isn't the perfect shot. It's the feeling. The way a kid looks up at their parent without thinking. The laugh that catches someone off guard. The quiet pride at the end of something hard. Those are the images I care about.
I live in Seattle with my husband, our son, and our dog, who between them keep life hilariously chaotic. When I'm not shooting, I'm probably at a coffee shop, deep in a book, or loudly cheering on the Seattle Storm, Reign, or Torrent.
Life is short and the moments that matter have a way of slipping by before you realize it. If you want photos that help you hold onto them — I would love to make that happen.

Honestly, I think it comes down to this: I genuinely love people. I love laughing with them, I love the moments where real emotion sneaks through, and I love the connections that make those moments possible in the first place.
I'm also a bit of a wallflower by nature, which sounds like a weird thing to put on a photography website. But it actually works in your favor. I'm not loud or in-your-face. I blend in, I pay attention, and I wait for the real stuff to happen rather than trying to manufacture it. Most people tell me they forgot I was even there, and that's honestly the best compliment I can get.
What drives me is pretty simple: life is short, and the moments that matter most have a way of slipping by before you realize you weren't paying attention. I want to help you hold onto them — the big ones, the quiet ones, and everything in between.
If that sounds like the kind of photographer you're looking for, I think we'll get along great.

I'm all about capturing life as it actually is — the beautiful moments, the silly ones, and yes, even the sweaty ones. I specialize in family portraits, sports and athletic events, and headshots and personal branding. I also have experience with small business marketing photography, so if you need content that actually looks like your brand, I've got you covered.

This is one of the most common questions I get, and honestly, my biggest piece of advice is to wear something that you fill good in, not something you think you're supposed to wear. That said, here are a few things that tend to photograph well:
Stick to solid colors or simple patterns — big logos and busy prints can be distracting
Coordinate, don't match — for family sessions especially, think complementary colors rather than everyone in the same outfit
Comfort matters — if you feel stiff or uncomfortable in what you're wearing, it usually shows
Still not sure? Send me a message before your session and I'm happy to help. I'd rather you feel confident walking in than stressed about what you're wearing.

Every session looks a little different depending on what we've planned together, but here's the general idea: we meet at our agreed location, get comfortable, and just let things unfold. Session length varies depending on your package.
As for location, I shoot both indoors and outdoors and have some favorite spots I'm excited to share once we start chatting. If you have somewhere specific in mind, I'm always open to hearing it as the best locations are often ones that mean something to you.
If we've planned an outdoor session and the weather has other ideas, we'll figure it out together. We can reschedule for another day or pivot to an indoor alternative, though keep in mind that indoor studio options may have an additional cost. Either way, I'll make sure we walk away with something you love.

Your photos will be delivered through a private online gallery — easy to access, download, and share. I also love building anticipation, so I aim to send a few sneak peek images within 48 hours of your session because waiting is hard! The full gallery will be delivered within three weeks. The number of images you receive will depend on your package — you can find those details on the investment page.
And if you want to go beyond digital, prints and albums can be purchased directly through the online gallery. There's something special about having your photos on your wall rather than just on your phone.
